Toquepala

The Toquepala mine is a deposit located in southern Peru. According to the political division of Peru, it is located in the Tacna Region, Jorge Basadre Province, Ilabaya District. The exploitation of the Toquepala mine is carried out by Southern Peru Copper Corporation. Along with the Cuajone mine and the Ilo refinery, the Toquepala mine is one of the three enclaves of this company in southern Peru. Mine production is mainly copper. Quantities (on a smaller scale) of molybdenum and other minerals are also produced. In 2014, Walsh prepared the Environmental Impact Statement for the contractor and blight dam expansion. Geoservice Engineering had done water related studies in 2014. Hatch was awarded the EPC contract in 2008. In this project we supply Rubber Lined Spools, Piping and Fittings.
